Youth Life Skills Workshops

Kingsbridge Heights Community Center will facilitate Life Skills Workshops for Bronx Teens and Tweens to improve their life skills, social emotional learning skills, and college and career preparedness. Four workshop series will be offered on the following topics: Sexual and Reproductive Health Education (Sex Myths, Protection, STD’s, Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity), Career & Financial Planning (Budgeting, Credit Cards, Investing, Resume Building, Interview Skills, Professional ‘Soft’ Skills), Self-Advocacy (Project DOT i.e. Tackling Gender Based Violence, Future Planning and Life Skills), Postsecondary Planning (College vs. Career Options, Where do I see myself?, Financial Aid, College List Making). The workshops will be offered in existing partnership schools (International School for Liberal Arts, ELLIS Preparatory Academy, Bronx Theatre High School, Bronx School for Law and Finance) and three to be determined new partner schools.
