What is the problem your idea aims to address?
Many New Yorkers, including youth, feel unsafe because of the rise in violent incidents in their neighborhoods. When people are in danger, they often lack quick and reliable ways to communicate, get help, or know what steps to take. This gap in safety awareness and emergency communication leaves residents—especially young people—vulnerable during critical moments.
